No Bull Artificial Breeding is the NSW Mid-North Coast’s leading provider of artificial insemination and breeding, egg-implanting, pregnancy testing, freeze-branding, calf delivery, de-horning, castrating, and general cattle husbandry services & artificial insemination training.
Stephen Brown started in the industry 35 years ago. His first course was in Artificial Insemination (AI) and he then learned to perform pregnancy tests and all other cattle husbandry.
Artificial breeding is his job and his passion and Stephen brings this passion into his courses. He makes each course an engaging learning experience.
With only 4-6 students per course at his brand new training facility in the Manning Valley, more individual attention can be given and one on one time is ensured.
Stephen has been accredited by National Herd Improvement Association of Australia. He believes it is extremely important that students are trained to the Standard Best Practices. The artificial breeding course runs over 3 consecutive days and is completely animal ethics approved.
His course is based on many practical sessions over the three days interspersed with theory.
Using AI to get cows in calf is one of the most important jobs on the farm and Stephen takes it as his responsibility to ensure his years of experience and knowledge are passed on so there’s a good outcome.

It's been a very odd & challenging month and we are all having a VERY VERY quiet Easter this year - especially with so many events and Shows cancelled and the โno non-essential travelโ rules.
But regardless of what you choose to do, whether you are in self isolation, or having a Netflix binge, pick up a new book, or a gardening spree, then please have a safe healthy and happy Easter.

Today we finished our latest AI training course! ๐๐๐ This was the first course since the new CV-19 social distancing measures were introduced. ๐ท Congrats to Brendan from Buladelah, Ashlea from Johns River, and Maddie from Scone. These 3 young people were real troopers and took all the CV-19 measures on board with no complaints.๐ But equally important they excelled in their training - the right attitude - loads of patience - and sheer focus๐ค. I was so impressed ๐ and look forward to seeing how these 3 millennials go when they return home to put their newfound skill into practice.
I couldnโt resist sharing this terrific selfie taken by a friend with her calf 8 week old Gracie. โค๏ธ
Gracie was a twin whose mum favoured the other calf. ๐ช Sheโs been hand-reared and is going great guns thanks to plenty of love and TLC by Katrina and her family.
๐So now itโs YOUR TURN! Hit me up with your favourite cow/calf pic or your best story in the comments!
Selfies get bonus points! Please donโt be shy!! ๐ ๐ฉโ๐พ

At a time like this our primary producers - who are such a vital element in our food chain - are more important then ever. This National Farmers Federation article is worth a quick read. ๐ ๐ฑ ๐ฅ ๐ฝ #fromfarmtomarket ...
The National Farmers Federation has today reiterated the urgent need for agriculture and the food supply chain to be deemed an essential service, for the purpose of the COVID-19 response. โWe have been in discussions, as recently as this afternoon, with the Government clearly acknowledging t...
Iโm in the early stages of brainstorming a โPreg Testingโ course. But before I go ahead and get TOO excited - firstly Iโd love to hear from YOU if there is actually a demand or any interest. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
There would be no formal qual or competency on completion - it would simply be for use on your own farm or workplace. I would teach both manual preg testing and using an ultrasound - with cattle at different stages of pregnancy so it would be very โhands onโ (like my AI course). The preg testing course would be 2 full days and approx $1000.
So if you think it is something you may like to do - hit me up with a cow ๐ ๐ฎ emoji in the comments!
No obligation whatsoever - Iโd just like to see if thereโs enough interest out there.
One of my favourite โค๏ธ rituals is checking the girls. And itโs sooooo rewarding to see them healthy fat and happy. No pink eye and no buffalo fly. โ . Man, I LOVE my job. ๐ฎ๐๐ ๐จโ๐พ ...
